AZAdvances Talent
AZAdvances Talent is a statewide pilot program designed to develop the next generation of bioscience and healthcare leaders in Arizona. The program has three components: Connections, Internships, and Scholarships.
- Connections: AZAdvances Talent provides opportunities for students to connect with professionals in the bioscience and healthcare industries through mentorship, job shadowing, and other events.
- Internships: AZAdvances Talent offers paid internships at life science and healthcare organizations in Arizona. Internships are designed to give students real-world experience in the field and help them explore their career options.
- Scholarships: AZAdvances Talent awards scholarships to Arizona students who are pursuing careers in the bioscience and healthcare industries. Scholarships are based on academic merit, financial need, and a commitment to pursuing a career in bioscience or healthcare.
A valuable resource for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the bioscience and healthcare industries, the AZAdvances Talent program provides students with opportunities to learn from professionals in the field, gain real-world experience, and receive financial assistance.
Ponte Cura: The Bridge to Cures
Ponte Cura is an annual event hosted by AZAdvances to celebrate science and hope. It is a night of dinner, dancing, and live music, with proceeds supporting AZAdvances programs that help Arizona-based health innovators bring their life-saving and life-changing products and services to market.
The 2023 Ponte Cura event was held on September 29, 2023 at the Arizona Science Center.
Each year, Ponte Cura is a special opportunity to support AZAdvances and the next generation of health innovators. It is a night to celebrate the progress that has been made and to look forward to a future where everyone has access to the life-saving and life-changing treatments and cures they need.

Our Chairman's Birthday Fundraiser
OTEF chairman, Joan Koerber-Walker, celebrated her birthday week with a fundraiser on Facebook.
“It was a great to share what we are doing and connect with friends who might not be able to attend the AZBW events in person. I am so grateful to friends here in Arizona and from across the U.S. who stepped up to support our students.”
