AZAdvances works with its community partners to provide opportunities for donors and members of the community to learn more about the opportunity and impact being created by Arizona healthcare innovators.
Educational events put Arizona’s current and future Health Innovators in the spotlight, provide information that helps early-stage companies build strong businesses, and encourages students to explore innovation focused career paths.
ECOSYSTEM SUPPORT
Grants
Based on funds available in the AZAdvances Today Fund™, the AZAdvances Trustees have the ability to allocate a portion of the annual distribution for grants to nonprofit entities based on approved projects that support life science innovators and build Arizona’s life science ecosystem. Grants in the form of merit-merit based awards or scholarships are limited to students enrolled at Arizona educational institutions. Grants for Arizona researchers must support advancement towards a future treatment or cure. Overhead calculations are limited to 10%.
MISSION RELATED INVESTMENTS
Debt & Private Equity
Based on funds available in the AZAdvances Today Fund, the AZAdvances Trustees have the ability to allocate a portion of the annual budget for convertible loans and private equity investments in startup and emerging-growth life science companies based in Arizona. All equity and loan assets will be held in the AZAdvances Legacy Endowment™ so that the core capital and future distributions grow as our community grows.
